Hi all
I have GOOD news for all of you. Guess what? WE were nominated out of
like 40 chem classes to go for a talk on compuational chemistry
during chem week!!! Arent we lucky?!
Attendance is compulsory for those from our class. =)
Details are as follows.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Computational Chemistry
Date: 15 August 2006, Tuesday.
Venue: LT 4
Time: 3.30-5pm
Computational Chemistry is a rather unfamiliar topic to many of us
students, but as students in today's modern society, we encounter
computers in many aspects of our lives. In fact, it would not be
wrong to say that today's students would not survive long without
computers. Thus, an introduction to Computational Chemistry would
definitely prove to be very interesting and relevant to us.
Students will be introduced to the various ways computers are used in
chemical research, and given specific real-life examples of
applications of Computation Chemistry which we would be able to
relate to.
Associate Professor Kang will be accompanied by Ms Ng Yun Sian, the
assistant director of the university scholars programme of NUS.
